N-02Questions

Common questions

Do you stamp plans drawn by others?

Yes, when they meet code. We review the structure, mark up anything that needs to change, and seal the set once it works.

How long does a stamped set take?

Most structural sets take one to two weeks. We give you a firm date with the quote, before any work starts.

Do I need a soils report?

For most new commercial foundations, yes. For smaller residential work we can often design from typical values for your area. We tell you which one your job needs.

Do you come out to the site?

Yes. Inspections always include a site visit, and we visit design jobs when seeing the site changes the answer.

What does an inspection cost?

It depends on the building and the distance. Call or send the address and a few photos, and we quote a fixed fee.

Which states are you licensed in?

Maurice is a licensed professional engineer in Tennessee. Call us about work in other states.
